Jean Paul Gaultier: Mad Hatter's Delight

JPG - Paris - Ready To Wear - March 2010: Bright colours, varied patterns, 90s throwbacks, and wacky boots. Not forgetting the Hat's! Although no look is complete without make-up. The black straight line of eye shadow above the lid completes this mysterious outrageous style to make the look almost normal.

Mad Hatter

As I previously mentioned in a post a couple of days back, for my uni project this term one of my photoshoots is based on Alice and Wonderland and i've decided to recreate the Mad Hatter.
In class today I was messing around with make-up and false eye lashes etc and this is what the outcome was!:

A Quick Edited Version

What do you think? Still got a couple more ideas i'm gonna work with see which one is best. my photoshoot/assessment is on monday so I need to start thinking about the hair styling now! ahhh any ideas? I'm planning on making a hat, but have no idea on what style to have the hair. My model has short brown hair so I better start researching some wacky short hair styles that will fit the theme.

Runaway

WOW just wow, watch this all the way through, no skipping, no pausing, it's long but so worth it. The hole set up is amazing and the bird costume and make-up is out of this world. The songs abit good too.

spray on clothes?!

Alice in a Wonderland

i'm currently doing an alice in wonderland project where by I get to create a make-up and hair look for one of the characters from the novel/film. Part of the project is to fill my sketchbook with loads of images and photos that inspire me etc etc you know the drill. Here are some images i have come across on my travels through the interweb that I think are pretty cool!

I've decided I'm going to design a mad hatter look, but use a female model and glam it up abit.

"In my next life I want to live my life backwards. You start out dead and get that out of the way. Then you wake up in an old people’s home feeling better every day. You get kicked out for being too healthy, go collect your pension, and then when you start work, you get a gold watch and a party on your first day. You work for 40 years until you’re young enough to enjoy your retirement. You party, drink alcohol, and are generally promiscuous, then you are ready for high school. You then go to primary school, you become a kid, you play. You have no responsibilities, you become a baby until you are born. And then you spend your last 9 months floating in luxurious spa-like conditions with central heating and room service on tap, larger quarters every day and then Voila! You finish off as an orgasm!"

P.S.T :frost bite of the vag

P.S.T ( pointless story thursday )

my friend has come to visit me and whilst on her journey from her house to mine, she came across a large crowd of young adults drunk and disorderly roaming through the streets of southampton on a night known as CARNAGE. To those of you who are unaware of this event, it's basically a massive pub crawl with everyone wearing the same t-shirt which acts as a license to get into a load of bars for free and get well and truly pissed. When you're apart of carnage it's jokes. But when your sober walking through town watching people on carnage, it's even more jokes. Anyway the reason why I'm blabbing on about this carnage shiz is to explain the title of this post. The whole idea of carnage is that the girls make the t-shirt as sexy as possible, however some girls practically wear just the t-shirt allowing body parts that shouldn't been seen by others in public, to be on show. And because of how freezing cold it is during this october month, my friend mentioned that the girls better be careful incase they get 'frost bite of the vag'. So thats my little pointless story on a thursday....

This isn't the finished product but just a quick sketch on my foot I did at Uni yesterday. Needs to be better shaded but not bad for my first attempt at body art!

all play and no work

Here are some images of the kind of work we do on my course.
Two of my course mates used me as a canvas to practice their body art skills.
I think they have done an amazing job!
It was done using a pre drawn image of a rose and then using nail vanish remover, transfered it onto my back to create a rough outline. All the shading and colouring however was all the girls work. The colour choices and shading go so well together.
I should hopefully being doing a body art design myself tomorrow and i can't wait. I'm thinking of either doing a pin-up girl (like a tattoo) or possible a tiger? Or maybe a design similar to above.

who even knows

I have literally spent the day in bed. Or by the toilet..hangover. I will never learn. I'm one of those lucky people who can hold their drink until the morning after. I really should stop drinking once i'm drunk, as opposed to drinking until I run out of money. Last night wasn't even worth throwing up over. My motto is generally 'if you wake up with your make-up still on and unable to remember anything from the night before except being sick in the club toilet, it's been a good night'. But last night definitely didn't fit into that category.

Bought lots more goodies from my favourite shop in the world.... the british heart foundation. I just love charity shops. Nothing makes me happier than taking something that no one wants and giving it a home on my body. I also love vintage clothing because the nightmare of ever going out and seeing someone wearing the same outfit as you is almost none existent. And yeh topshop is nice and that but it's far too over priced for my student funds to handle.

I'm gonna start using my diggie SLR cammy more I have decided. Need to properly learn how to use it manually (did photography a-level but I was a rebel at school and refused to listen and instead did things my own way....so juvenile) so yeah might actually eventually take some semi-good shots. Got a couple of photoshoots coming up for my course anyway and also doing photoshop lesson so hopefully I will be an impressive photographer this time next month....
who even knows.
