twigilicious

I just love the 60's. Everything about it. The fashion, the music, the people, the history. So much went on in that decade and I'm gutted I couldn't be apart of it. But this post is as you can most likely tell by the title is an expression of my love for Twiggy. She was the start of a fashion sensation that showed the world that not all woman were gifted with the sexy curvaceous body of big boobs and baby baring hips; but that there were woman out there that pretty much had the figure of a boy. 50 years on, and the tables have very much so turned with all catwalk models baring their bones, and anyone above a size 8 to be 'plus size'. A crying shame. But none the less, Twiggy was beautiful and here are some of my favourite photos of her.

These images make me wanna start drawing on eyelashes! They look so sultry. Love it!

ombre hair

Cut off all my hair didn't I!
Well in all fairness, it wern't that long in the first place, but a cut is a cut. I dyed it too. I can't really describe the colour as it's a colour i've never really seen before! I guess it's a latte/muddy blonde colour... what do you think?

Picture #7

I have plans to ombre it tomorrow though, making the ends blonde so it looks like I have grown out roots. I want it to look a little something like this....

But we'll see. heres hoping it goes well and I don't end up looking like a liquorice allsort.

I love the ombre hair look. Some brave people have done drastic ombre-ing and used bright colours and shades and just gone all out, and I think it looks fantastic!

-x-

The Sleeveface phenomenon began online with people posting photos in which they had cleverly posed with album covers. They first appeared on waxidermy.com in early 2006, but the original idea is claimed by a group of people in Cardiff, including Carl Morris, founder of sleeveface.com and co-author of the new Sleeveface book. Now there are Flickr and Facebook groups devoted to the art of vinyl disguise so anyone can start adding pictures and join the movement. For a masterclass go towww.sleeveface.com/video

vibrant knife painting

Oil painting with a knife by Francoise Nielly.
Françoise Nielly’s painting is expressive, exhibiting a brute force, a fascinating vital energy. Oil and knife combine to sculpt her images from a material that is , at the same time, biting and incisive, charnel and sensual. Whether she paints the human body or portraits, the artist takes a risk : her painting is sexual, her colors free, exuberant, surprising, even explosive, the cut of her knife incisive, her color pallet dazzling.

you're skinny like a model with your eyes all painted black

You know you're skinny enough to be a model when the waist band of your tights doesn't give you a muffin top.

Ahh, the one and only Chuck Bass. Ed Westwick who plays the suave and sexy entrepreneur has more swagger than any of the other characters in the hit tv series Gossip Girl, or as me and my friends like to abbreviate, GG. Even my closest boy mates watch GG and I sometimes think they enjoy watching it more than I do! Of course the main reason us female viewers watch the series is not only for our weekly dosage of Chuck and Nate (sorry Dan, but you just don't make the cut) but also for the gorgeous outfits that grace our screens that the very lucky Blake Lively and Leighton Meister get to flaunt before us. Here are a few of my favourite outfits of the season so far:

I love both Serena and Blair's individual styles. If I was lucky enough to have both their wardrobes I would mix & max a combination of both their looks together, for example if I was given Blair's polka- dot dress to wear, I'd steal serena's blue jacket (4th image in) and wear over the top of the dress to make it more edgy to suit my style.
